Making the Exploration Save

  • Startup Ylands (your game in Steam) and create a new multiplayer exploration world.
  • Name the world something easy and memorable
  • Load into the game, then save and exit.
  • Navigate to the steam library on your local computer:
    • Generally it can be found here by default:
      [C:\Program Files (x86)]\Steam\userdata\[Your ID number]\298610\remote\SaveGames
  • Here will be the new world you created:"savename.ylandsgame" extension.
    • Copy this file to your desktop for easy access.
  • Rename the copied file on your desktop to:
    SessionSave.ylandsgame

Applying the save to your server

  • Go to the File Browser under Tools.
  • Find SessionSave.ylandsgame in the ylands folder and delete it.
  • Upload the SessionSave.ylandsgame on your desktop to this folder using the 'Upload file' button at the bottom.
  • After the upload is complete, click on DsConfig.json and modify the SessionData element to read as the following: "SessionData":"./SessionSave.ylandsgame"
  • Restart the server.
