Finding mods

There are different sites from which you can download mods for 7 Days to Die.

The most important and probably the most popular are the following:

Nexus Mods

Mod_DB

7 Days to Die Community

Please make sure that the mod is also compatible with servers and not only for the local game!

Keep in mind that some mods will require to be installed both on the server and client at the same time, you won't be able to join the server if you are missing a mod.

Mod Installation

As a friendly reminder, we encourage all our users to completely stop the server before doing any modification to the files or settings, otherwise this can lead to data corruption or desynchronization in your server's data.

After locally downloading and unpacking the desired mod, it is necessary to create a folder on the server.

This can be done either using the web interface, or via FTP.

A new folder must be created by clicking on "New directory".

The new directory must be named "Mods" so that the game correctly recognizes the folder, and it’s content.

The mod files can be copied into the newly created directory.

It is recommended to do this with an FTP program such as FileZilla or WinSCP.

Most mods come with instructions on how to install them, please follow them!

Mods will be active after a correct installation and a server restart.
