General Questions

1.- Can I play Eco in single player mode?

  • Yes. Echo can be played in single player on your local computer. Your own game can also be set to turn off the meteor or to adjust skill point gain and costs.

2.- What server should I play on?

  • The Echo servers are hosted by players. The game server browser displays the public servers configured by the community. You can use the unofficial Echo Server Tracker to see which servers are the most popular and active, although not all of them are on the list. The servers are also advertised on the Eco Discord channel.

3.- Do I have to pay to play?

  • Yes. You have to buy the game on Steam.

Questions about Gameplay

1.- I just started, and I have no idea what I'm doing. How do I play?

  • Read the getting started guide. If you have questions, there are active ECO player communities on the Eco Discord server and on the Eco forums.

2.- Why can't I move or look around?

  • Try pressing the Tab button to switch from one mode to another. A mode displays a cursor to select and interact with items. The other mode allows camera shake.

3.- My calories are going down. Will I die?

  • You won't die if your calorie count reaches zero, but your skill points will freeze until you eat something.

4.- How do I remove the screen capture interface?

  • Alt + Z
