This article will show you how to configure your DayZ server.

Sets the name of your server.

Sets a password to join your server.


passwordAdmin = "password-admin";

Password to identify yourself as an admin ingame. Use "#login password-admin" in chat to become an admin.

This setting shouldn't be changed.


logFile = "server_console.log";

Sets the name of your server log.

Sets your MOTD(Message Of The Day)


motdInterval = 5;

Sets the interval between your MOTD messages(in seconds).

maxPlayers = 22;

Sets the amount of maximum players on your server.


kickDuplicate = 1;.

Kick people with the same GUID.


verifySignatures = 2;	

This shouldn't be changed.


equalModRequired = 0;	

Outdated. This shouldn't be changed.


requiredBuild = 96584;	

Required ArmA build to join the server.


voteMissionPlayers = 1;

This setting is not relevant for DayZ.


voteThreshold = 2;

This setting is not relevant for DayZ.


disableVoN = 0;	

Enables/disables voice chat.


vonCodecQuality = 10;	

Sets your voice codec quality. 1 = worst, 10 = best.


persistent = 1;

This shouldn't be changed.


timeStampFormat = "short";

Sets the timestamp format. Can be "none", "short", "full".


BattlEye = 1;

Activates/Turns off BattlEye.


onUserConnected = "";					

Runs a script when a player connects. You can specify what script is getting executed between the quotation marks.


onUserDisconnected = "";				

Runs a script when a player disconnects. You can specify what script is getting executed between the quotation marks.


doubleIdDetected = "";					

Runs a script when two or more players connect. You can specify what script is getting executed between the quotation marks.


onUnsignedData = "kick (_this select 0)";

Runs a script when a player connects with unsigned data. You can specify what script is getting executed between the quotation marks.

Runs a script when a player connects with hacked data. You can specify what script is getting executed between the quotation marks.
